Nicklin Transit Packaging has reinforced its position as the UK’s leading independent manufacturer and supplier of timber, cardboard and corrugated packaging solutions following the acquisition of Geddes Packaging.
Aldridge-based Geddes Packaging, which employs around 40 people, will become part of The NICKLIN Group of Companies, creating a stronger and more resilient business with enhanced manufacturing capacity, expanded expertise and greater reach across the Midlands and beyond.
Geddes Packaging is a long-established independent business with a strong reputation in timber and corrugated packaging, making the acquisition a natural fit for Nicklin as it continues to develop its services and support a growing customer base.

The move will increase Nicklin’s market share in the timber and corrugated packaging market, while bringing additional manufacturing and sales expertise into the combined business. Geddes Packaging’s customers will benefit from access to Nicklin’s wider range of products and services, larger operational platform and continued commitment to continuous improvement, health & safety, quality, sustainability and customer care.

The acquisition forms part of the Nicklin’s wider growth trajectory, having relocated to Wednesbury from Birmingham due to the HS2 development eight years ago.
